Is Killing

Sex is killing the boy next door
He is only seventeen years old
He isn't a homosexual
He didn't lay down with just anyone

"I never thought it could happen to me
I had so much to look forward to
Sometimes I'm living in disbelief
of how there isn't a cure and I have nowhere to turn"

If there's a God in this universe
why then inflict this upon his kingdom
What kind of human suffering
will it take to destroy the infection

Drugs are killing the girl next door
and she has no one to talk to
Two working parents in an average home
She didn't know where to go and somehow took the wrong turn

"It seemed no more than a quick escape
from the depression and emptiness
I felt my life was so meaningless
With no one there by my side I thought I'd take a free ride"

If there's a God in this universe
did he create cocaine and heroin
This kind of self-destruction
is a by-product of self-made worthlessness

Apathy is killing the boy next door
He is only seventeen years old
He has no concept of long-term goals
He didn't know what he wanted and so it's taking it's toll

TV is killing the girl next door
She watches sex in the soap operas
She thinks that life should be just like that
but then she looks in the mirror and sees reality there

If there's a God in this universe
does he broadcast on CBN
What kind of human morality
will it take to restore our vision

Sex is killing the boy next door
and he has no one to talk to
He is only seventeen years old
He didn't know what he wanted and he is losing control...
